Our Chanukah Menorah

JCMI in conjunction with the Jewish Federation of Collier County held a Community Chanukah Celebration on Wednesday, December 16, 2009.

The celebration included outdoor candle lighting. Unfortunately, we didn’t have an outdoor Chanukah Menorah. We needed help and Irv Povlow set up a meeting with David Willens to ask for his assistance in designing an outdoor Menorah; David provided us with a great design. We showed Frank Lazzaro the design and asked if he would be able to build it. Frank took one look and said, “Sure, no problem”. Before we knew it, Frank surprised us with our new Chanukah Menorah. In addition to building this beautiful Menorah, Frank told us that this was his gift to JCMI. Rabbi Maline accepted the gift on behalf of our congregation.

The best gift to JCMI is Frank Lazzaro. His dedication and love for our congregation is as special as he is. We look forward to you joining us for our Community Chanukah Celebration. For this year’s celebration, please refer to the attached flyer.
